Unable to Send Files from Mobile to Mac using Bluetooth

You have turned on Bluetooth on your mobile and on your Mac as well. You have discovered and successfully paired the devices. Still, you cannot send files from your mobile to Mac. File transfer fails.

Steps to Configure Bluetooth Sharing

Here are the steps:

1. Keep your mobile and Mac in proximity
2. Turn on the Bluetooth Sharing service on Mac from System Preferences > Sharing
   
   
3. Check the Bluetooth Sharing service to turn it on. In the Bluetooth Sharing pane, the value for the field “When receiving items” must be something other than “Never Allow“.
   
   
   Other potential values for the field “When receiving items“:
   • Accept and Save
   • Accept and Open
   • Ask What to Do
   • Never Allow
