Provident Fund (PF) Calculator (for India)

Our Provident Fund (PF) calculator is a valuable tool that helps you determine the accumulation of funds at the time of retirement. The calculation of PF interest is based on the monthly running balance and is paid annually. Learn how PF interest is calculated here.

The full employee contribution (usually 12% of the basic salary) is directed towards the PF account. Meanwhile, a portion of the employer contribution (also typically 12% of the basic salary) is allocated to the pension fund (EPS), with an annual cap of Rs.15000. Any excess amount from the employer contribution is then channeled into the PF account. For instance, if the employer PF contribution is 12% of the basic salary, approximately 8.33% (or roughly 69.42% of the contribution) is allocated to EPS, while the remaining 3.67% goes towards the PF.
